Marineplan is a boat navigation software and nautical charts company in the Netherlands, founded in 2018 by seasoned expert developers in the domain.
Our focus is to develop products that are easy to use and offer safety, joy and the right functionality at the right time. Our proprietary map layer was developed to offer a basic solution for offline hardware such as mobile phones and tables out of range of wireless coverage.
Our online APIs are used by many companies who failed to build the required platform themselves or could not find a decent alternative, and decided this side of the build-or-buy question. Our online boat routing API was adopted and showcased by the ADAC Skipper app, servicing thousands of sailors worldwide.
