Our flagship app NavKid, nautical map and boat route planner app, is a state of the art application running on all modern Android hardware. Its features include a full-fledged automatic route planner like you would expect.

With more than 10 map styles, including OpenSeaMap and corresponding night styles, you will always have an appealing style to suit you.

The search feature has a search-near-you and a search-along-route mode. Finding marinas along the route, fresh water intakes, dog walk areas, picnic sites, as well as canals, lakes and waterway names.

Please refer to the release notes for update information.

You can use the app in English, French, German, Dutch, Frisian, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Danish and Swedish languages. Full navigation is offered throughout Western Europe from Gothenburg to Turkey.

The NavKid app is famous for ease of use, fully automatic route planning, no need to create an account (no email, no password), no internet connection required. How does that sound? Install and go.

Always see your arrival time

Even if you know how and where to navigate, it’s useful to understand the time frame. Arrival times at bridges and locks are also visible, as are their VHF radio channels and phone numbers. If a bridge or lock has a phone number, you can call it directly using the yellow button. No surprises there.

Convenience on the go

You sail your favorite routes without having to constantly click on your screen. All relevant information is presented automatically, including speed limits, regulations, and locations where a Small Craft License 2 is required.

Tap on a bridge or lock and immediately see the operating times, with a highlighted dot at the current time.

Friends in the neighborhood

In addition to all the ships that we show from AIS (via internet connection), you can also see where your friends are sailing and what time they will arrive at which location.

A distinction is made between moving and stationary boats.

You can also have “less friendly” boats report themselves, so you don’t get any surprise visit.

NavKid is offered full-feature for the first 7 days, then a maintenance annual fee of €19.50 is charged for map updates.

You can find NavKid in the Google Play Store.

Please note that the US Maps are not released yet for this app. Currently, only Western Europe is covered. Please check again in 2026.

Note: currently we do not support iPhone (iOS) yet. We expect to have this in early 2027.
