MarinePlan offers a series of boat navigation software products, for business players in the industry as well as consumers. The boat navigation software products all use MarinePlan Nautical Charts, and it also support OpenSeaMap and other map features and styles.
Products
- Free of charge online boat route planner at https://maps.marineplan.com, showcasing a versatile trip planning tool for any type of ship. Just drag the departure and destination icons on the map and press the Plan Route button. The free of charge tool allows for some tweaking (check the NavKid app for a full feature set).
- The NavKid Android app, the most versatile boat route planner, comparable to Google Maps, featuring state of the art boat route planning and excellent sailing features. Fast route planning and tweaking with minimal interaction.
- OpenShipData platform, a worldwide solution to access and display boat locations, received globally by VHF radio (AIS system) and other navigation apps. This platform will give you a full insight of the location of any ship. Typical users include business owners, local authorities and educational projects.
- B2B online boat navigation APIs, offering access to the MarinePlan Navigation Cloud engines that drive the product range. We offer APIs for boat routing, nautical search, reverse geocoding, static maps and a map tile interface (PNG, 256×256 pixels), offering many map styles and overlays.
Map Coverage of the Products
For these products, our proprietary MarinePlan map is used for a maximized end user experience, with additional OpenSeaMap and OpenStreetMap layers. See Map Coverage for a detailed overview of the specific areas where you’d like to navigate.
